Customer Reviews

"The restaurant is located close to the center of Dahlonega GA, which makes it convenient and easy to find. The outside patio is spacious and provides a nice seating area. The service is very friendly and attentive. The menu offers a good selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The food quality is average. The Jagerschnitzel was decent, most likely fried and not pan cooked. The potatoes were also fried, which was a bit too much fried food for me. The sauce was created with mushrooms, but should have been more creamy, like it is usually served in German restaurants. The decoration and atmosphere were not really enticing and original. There is a lot of room for change. Parking was sufficient. The restaurant is dog friendly, which makes it nice for traveling guests. The price for dinner was very good."

"Wonderful food and a lovely owner/chef! Definitely check this place out. They have German wine and beer as well. It's in a small strip of shops. Hard to find but worth it! Simple decors/atmosphere, but clean and cute."

"I recently visited Reens' Bratzeit & Biergarten during my trip to the area, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere embraced us. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Jagersnitzel with mushroom gravy. The dish was a true delight, with the flavors blending perfectly. The tender schnitzel accompanied by the rich mushroom gravy left me craving for more. It was a culinary masterpiece. The vinegar-based potato salad served at room temperature was a revelation. It was the best potato salad I've ever had. The tangy and refreshing taste complemented the meal perfectly, making it a standout dish. To satisfy my sweet tooth, I indulged in the German cheesecake, and it was simply heavenly. The creamy texture, coupled with the delightful flavors, made it an absolute treat. I must also commend the dedication of the staff and the owner. The owner himself worked behind the bar and served us a selection of Dunkle and heirewizen beers, which were both delicious and refreshing. The cook, James, added a touch of entertainment to our dining experience with his witty banter and playful exchanges with the owner. It was an enjoyable and fun-filled evening. What struck me the most was the sense of community and camaraderie among the locals. Reens' Bratzeit & Biergarten seems to be a popular spot where everyone knows everyone. As an out-of-towner, I felt welcomed and included in the laughter and jokes shared by the locals. It was a heartwarming experience that made me feel like a part of the community, even if just for a little while. Overall, my visit to Reens' Bratzeit & Biergarten was nothing short of exceptional. The delicious food, friendly staff, and vibrant atmosphere created an experience that will stay with me for a long time. I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an authentic German dining experience with a side of warm hospitality."

"Had been craving some German food and happened to run across this place. The food was so good! Wished we lived closer so we could come back weekly! Will dream of the wienerschnitzel."

"While it might look a little rough around the edges, Reens' does not disappoint. My husband has been to Germany a few times, and when I asked him how he'd describe the sausage sampler he had here he said, "Authentic." They also offer eggs and side salads if you're avoiding pork or looking for something a little lighter. We split a cheesecake, and glad we only got one for the both of us as it was on the heavier side, thick and a bit doughy, but delicious (with a hint of possibly lemon?). Service was excellent, and they made you feel welcome and cared for. My husband couldn't stop raving about it after we left, saying how great it was. Win! Would highly recommend for anyone in the area."

"Great view! The food is homemade and excellent. The owner and proprietor speaks fluent German as well. Fantastic German beer selection, and classic German food. I particularly enjoyed the jager schnitzel. This is a fantastic lunch spot. Not too crowded and very quick service. Ausgutzeitchnet!"
